I was brutally attacked by holiday treats last night. My instructor brought in a plate of goodies for the class. I know, how could anyone be so rude, right?! Then I came home and had some pizza *sigh*.
I fell asleep with thoughts of throwing in the towel due to the upcoming holidays drifting in my head, and woke up with determination and resolve. In the last week I have dropped seven pounds from where I was (Which I refuse to record) and have been feeling better than ever, I am not going to give that up because I love cookies. On this LCHF road of mine carbs are going to happen. It is the Christmas season and I am not made of stone. The key to losing during the holidays is being able to continue on after a mistake, or a planned meal off. So this morning, for the first time in months, I woke and went to the gym. Goodbye stored glycogen from my carb feast last night.
I don't know if its the LCHF WOE or that I haven't been to the gym in ages, or a combination, but boy I could really feel that one. I did a thirty minute workout on the elliptical in full body mode, resistance level four. Heart rate in the mid 170's throughout. Kicked my booty. I am now having my first calories for the day, coffee with coconut oil and cream.
Here's hoping I can maintain this resolve through the next couple weeks.
