Took my DIL and youngest grandchild to see the Nutcracker ballet yesterday at the Kauffman Center in KC. What a treat!! Just sorry the oldest grandchild missed this year due to being half way across the country in college. Been taking them for 15 years and enjoy it every year. Had Chinese buffet for dinner and stayed on program. No rice or ice cream for me. Didn't miss them at all. This still amazes me!

Good for you! it sounds like you all had such a wonderful time, and it is NOT always easy to eat properly off a buffet! thank you for the inspiration :)

I went to Golden Corral for Thanksgiving and stayed on my weight loss program except for 1 small slice of potato. I was good and also proud of myself. Chinese I could not handle but since my program is mostly protein that would not work for me. Good for you

I love Golden Corral, don't know what you want you are in the right place because they have everything. it is perfect for low carb eating. they even have some sugar free deserts and sugar free ice cream. I love chinese also, the house special soup is great, just tell them no baby corn. it has shrimp chicken beef and pork snow peas, bean sprouts, bok choy water chestnuts, all in a wonderful chicken broth. and also egg drop soup is low carb. I have chicken on a stick some times too. have you tried cream cheese spinach?? on my Lord it is heaven. I shut now.

Low carb is easy peasy at a Chinese buffet once you put on the blinders and don't look at the rice, noodles, and sweet sauces. or the dessert bar.
