I live with 14 & 17 yr old grandsons who don't date. They say high school girls are "crazy". They're both academic stars but the 17 yr old particularly has some maturing to do. They're both going to do a practice stint at college this summer. That should be a shock to their systems. 🤣 It sounds like yours are doing well too. Here's raising a cup of zero calorie tea to kids who are doing well! 

Agreed Hip. My boys say the same. Focused on all the wrong things. I advised they do the things that interest them and watch to see which girls are doing the same things. Make friends first. Both boys knew the girl they ask for more than a year before asking. I suggested next time they invite a girl to something not quite so heavy as a Homecoming Dance. A birthday party at All Star Sports or something else more fun with less pressure. In later classes the girls expressed real concern for the boys' feelings regarding being told no. That sounds to me like they are good girls. The boys went alone anyway. Their first dance. Just goofed for two hours with friends. My 16yo is the academic star. Valedictorian at the end of last year (Ranked #1 of 621 in his class). The shoulder surgery time out of school has pretty much guaranteed he won't be valedictorian this year. My 17yo was only 127 of 589. Similar this year. His bigger focus is finding a future that will not be made obsolete by AI and robots. The highest poverty level is in the same county as the highest education level in our state. The one where our largest state university resides. He figures most all the rest of those desk jobs will be fully automated before he would graduate. *Klink* Cheers.
