ok so I totally bombed this weekend. did excessive alternative exercise. didn't walk. sleep was sketchy. overate by like 1500 calories over 2 days, and by the way was ask hungry & lacking energy. I looked awful in the bike pictures... again. And I've determined that I secretly wish someone close to me would comment on my accomplishment. No one close to me has said anything about a change in my appearance. No one has said anything to acknowledge that I've been working hard. the kids do make silly comments about my fast secret, and they sometimes make serious comments about the nutrition of this or that. I thought I looked trimmer in my dress tonight, but sing pics of the bike ride whence I also thought I looked good, spoke a different reality. Maybe those close to me don't want to hear me fishing for compliments. Maybe when I bring attention to my efforts they are turned off from giving me any more attention. Maybe they just don't realize I look different because they see me all the time & have seen me through thick & thin. Maybe their tongues have been silenced so I could recognize & process the attention seeking component in all this.
