Thanks Buenita, it was! Thinking I can cut back on either one slice of cheese or ham... Not ready to cut back on both yet, so maybe just the cheese, since it's way more calories and fat... 🧀🐖🤔⚖️📉

I love sandwiches, and yours looks delicious. Sometimes I use a lettuce leaf instead of my top slice of bread or a low-cal salad dressing instead of mayo. Other times I just splurge! 😉 

add some veggies? wouldn't worry so much about the bread as add some greens or sprouts..

Try Schmidt's Olde Tyme 647 Bread or Aldi's Keto Bread. 35-40 calories per slice; fewer calories and tastes the same 

I had a ham sandwich for lunch....with sweet onion and baby romaine...was out of tomato...so good! 

Yep, lettuce is a definite, just didn't have any available is all... Else the second cheese slice wouldn't have been added.... 600cals was just rounding up for conversation.... It was around 575, and even that was being generous about the mayo. No matter how you look at it, it's still better than a second sandwich.... I waaayyy prefer to over estimate than underestimate when it comes to counting cals . Probably will have the same thing today. Dunno yet... 🥪🤔🥬 

Have you ever used greek yogurt instead of mayonaise. Yes, the taste is a little different, but I have not purposefully used mayonaise on anything in a long time. If someone puts in in a dish, like deviled eggs, then I eat it. Your sandwiches look really good. 

Lose the bread in the middle. If you need structural integrity for your sandwich, toast the bread or stick a toothpick through it!

Bionici, nope, haven't tried that... honestly, most times it's a tossup between mayo and mustard.... Like the mayo taste, but near nill calories with mustard... Just depends on the mood I guess? 🥪🤔 

Rgcc... the middle bread is for self appeasement instead of having a second sandwich... I'm willing to cut back on one item from the sandwich, but not two.... To some, it seems that I eat a lot, but having cut back to 2500cal/day, I've lost a lot of weight so far... I enjoy eating, so experience taught me that livable limits work better in the long run than suffering for short term wins. 🥪 🚫 🥪🥪... ⚖️📉👍

James... no Aldi's in my normal travels. We just use Walmart wheat sandwich bread... It was still under a buck for 24 slice size (maybe it's 30?) until a year or ago.. I think it's about double that now. 🌾🍞 🥪💰
