Good morning, FS WARRIORS!!! 💜✨️ So, I went to a different gym yesterday, and the strangest things happened that left me completely confuckled. 😵‍💫 First, I did my assisted dips & chin-ups. My volume on dips more than doubled since the last time I did that rep range (a month ago, but still that's TOO much progress) & my chin-up volume tripled! So, I came to the conclusion that something is just off with one of the machines. Then, I go to do cable curls (after dumbell hammer curls) & my 1RM nearly doubled. Next was cable tricep pushdowns & 1RM nearly tripled, both from a few days ago! The weight on the cable machine was SO light! My thought; Is the weight on the cable machine at the gym I've been using in kg, and I've been logging it as pounds this entire time?!?! What the same hell is going on?!?! Idk, but needless to say, I like this new gym! 😅

You are getting stronger, which is why you have improved in the exercises :)

your definitely getting stronger and that's awesome so happy for you I want to be able to lift weights once my knee surgery is done and I'm able to workout.

@Shark I know I'm getting stronger, because I've been making progress bit by bit, but this type of jump is really unrealistic. For example, my PR in tricep pushdowns shot from approx 58 to approx 120. If the 58 is in kg & you multiply it x 2.2 to get lbs, that's 127.6. That seems way more likely...lol. The dip/chin up machine is a little harder to reason with though. I'm going to have to go back to the other gym next upper body day to just make sure it's a difference in the machines.

Thank you, Sara! Have you thought about just starting with upper body while awaiting knee surgery? Best of luck to you with the surgery & getting started. TRUST ME, getting started is the hardest part! After a couple of weeks, it becomes addictive.

That happened to me as well a few years ago. You are doing great and is it possible you are just getting stronger? 👍💪💪

I doubt it, Diana, not that much stronger...lol. I guess we will see the next time I venture back to the old gym for upper body.

@jen I cannot tell a lie...🤣 Even if it is a kg vs lbs issue, that's STILL awesome because I've been thinking, "WTH am I so weak in my upper body?!?! UGH!" 😅
