back into the weird sleeping pattern, up till 4:30 this morning (watching the entire season 4 of Weeds --- entirely my own fault) then in the bed sleeping till 8:30 (my usual vacation wake-up time), stagger into the kitchen, drink a little water, collapse into the chairtrap and then sleep another 2 hours. Well, at least it was 6 hours sleep and not 3 like earlier this summer.
This also meant that at 2 or 3 AM I was having hunger pangs; had a 1/2 cup of slaw with 4 saltines and that more than satisfied - it was SO good! I wanted more, but reminding myself that "it tastes good" is not a reason to eat more. Eating is for nourishment, not for entertainment.
Eating at 3AM brings up another issue: is this a snack/meal to record for yesterday or today? I chose yesterday, since I consider my day "begun" with getting up out of bed, and that hadn't happened yet.
Today I'm going to work on having several small meals or snacks, spacing them every 2 hours. Breakfast was at noon, so now it's (2PM and) snack time!
