i am only 5ft. i have m s and a tricky hip and in my 70s. i am veggie. the older i have got the easier it has been to put on weight and harder to lose. through experiment i realise that 900 to 950 calories daily is where i need to be to lose weight... very slowly.... anyone in similar boat?

Hi, I have MS too so can’t exercise. Lost weight with calorie and carb counting - maximum 1,200 cals per day, 100g carbs. Often less. Good luck Xx

thanks Rosebud. its tough isnt it but it helps to know not alone. i see pics of others yummy meals that look so much more than i can eat and sigh!!!

Fellow MSer here. Still active, but can do only certain exercises. Also I'm vegan and mostly gluten free, counting calories to stay around 1300 per day, drinking a lot of water and 2 x herbal tea daily. It's slow but steady, it was so much easier to loose 50kg 3 years back than it is to get rid of 5kg now..

Yes me, but I'm not a veggie, but its taking me 6 years to lose one pound don't laugh 😂🤣😅 I only need to lose one pound 6 years ago and I'm still trying. Yes your right the older one gets the harder it is don't know what 50 k is but good luck on your journey. I drink herbal tea and water. swim if you can. And if possible do a gentle exercise like pilates. take care Merry Mel 🤩
