I have tried to get this across to my doctor but he is resistant. Most of the cholesterol in your body is produced by your body.

Yea that’s from my understanding as well. But if somebody who can get lipids testing could do an experiment it would be nice! Like eat high cholesterol foods for 3-4 days while keeping total saturated fats n cals the same. And see if it increases or not would be nice to see

I'm going to make a long story short. The last time I went on keto/carnivore (see FatGirlJenny/Caterpillar2Butterfly profile), I had chorlesterol problems (along with high blood pressure, pre-diabetes, anxiety, depression, was losing comprehension skills, etc...). I drank butter in my coffee, was eating entire packs of bacon, etc... My good chorlesterol went up & my bad chorlesterol went down. My dr was confuckled! 😆 It's hard to eat a surplus of calories, though, because complete satiety comes early.

Is she a nutritionist or a Registered Dietician? There’s a world of difference between the two.

@Justbananas…She say certified health & nutrition coach, so I take that as nutritionist. Either way, I agree w her. To each his own. I know everyone’s body is “different” and should eat according to what you believe in.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6024687/ They analyzed studies on dietary cholesterol. But their definition of a lot of eggs is 2 a day and low egg consumption is one or less a day. They found no increase between the two. Anyone know if there’s a study thats actually done on high eggs consumption like 6+ per day?

There was a guy on YouTube who ate 30 eggs a day for a month straight, because he heard it was like doing a cycle. But it wasn’t! 🤣 his cholesterol numbers actually reduced. So who knows. I eat 2 to 3 a day with 200 to 300 grams of whites (Costco brand, 6 containers for 9 bucks) .

Interesting! While on KETO and consuming high healthy fats olive and coconut oil along with mega amounts of red meat, bacon and leafy veggies had my HDL increase and LDL and total cholesterol drop. Dr said if I could sustain those number I could come off cholesterol meds which I later did. (Back on meds again now) As I understand it 1. Our bodies produce all the cholesterol we need. 2. Our average American diet quickly overload what is needed. ✌️
