Have something there that you don’t have to cook. If there’s a tired day coming up meal prep the day before. I get sick of my own cooking sometimes

Have a tin of Vegetable Soup and perhaps a slice of bread put in a pan to warm or in a dish in microwave if you have one, better than nothing!

I try to make big batches of meals and freeze them so when I can’t be bothered I just take one out in the morning and have it later or just have some quick like a sandwich or soup x

Build your home food environment so that you have quick, healthy options on the bad days that fit with how you're choosing to eat. For example, I'll throw together a can each of black beans, pintos, and tomatoes with some frozen corn and salt-free taco seasoning. Takes all of 5 minutes, and I always have the ingredients on hand. We all have good days and bad -- use your good days to lay in supplies for the days you just don't wanna

I have a husband with terminal cancer. I'm mostly tired and anxious but I'm sure he is more so. My focus is on him. Focus on how you would feel if your family or friends lost you and vow to take care of yourself so you can be there for them when and if they need you.

Fish, chips and peas for me tonight. Not bought from the chip shop, but all frozen. 30 seconds to put it on a baking tray (except for the peas of course), and 25 minutes later 400 calories of loveliness. The freezer is a great tool for 'can't be bothered' days.

I'm like u. I make sure I have my meal out from the night b4. I was brought up to never waste food so its stops me getting a carry out on way home from work.

I feel you so much. I have children too, so it really weighs on me that I have to get something on the table that I have enough energy for and is relatively healthy.
I've come up with menus that take only 15 minutes or so and I fall back on them. Things like salad with some sort of meat (chicken or deli meat), grilled cheese on wholewheat bread with tomato soup, a summery fruit salad, or beans on toast...those are just a few examples.
Somedays my fatigue doesn't let me make more than that and I've learned to just accept it and forgive myself. We're human after all! 👍

exactly the same. recently we've been ordering gousto meals and that seems to help us as everything is already weighed out and you have easy instructions to follow

I have always the same breakfast. 30g oats,I measure myself out first thing 300ml oat milk or other kind.teaspoon honey. Then every few days make a pan of vegetable soup.Veg no potatoes. Split up and freeze.Heat as needed in microwave add dessert spoon 50g Greek yogurt .To give abit of a taste I put 3 🌶 small red dried. Add a slice of carbs to eat with it if you want. That fills a hole. For the rest I see what the others are eating or what the fridge offers.Weigh calculate the cals.I find I have my favorites and eat mainly that.Eggs…a vegetable sauce, eat on it’s own or cook 30/40g pasta… important is quick stuff that you don’t need to think about.Easier than that is Fasting… but I prefer Eating

I don't like cooking and just don't cook most of the time 🤷🏻♀️ Sometimes I'd prepare a lot of food to last me a few days - takes a couple of hours, but then I don't need to cook at all for the next few days.
There are lots of good tips below, one tip from me - stop feeling like you have to. If you don't want to cook - have something quick or skip the meal, nothing wrong with that xx

It's tough sometimes and the key is not to be tough on yourself. My new idea of fast and convenient food is to grab some ready cooked salmon or chicken breast and a prepacked salad.

I’m like that - clinical depression. My solution is a collection of recipes that take little effort to prepare.
Two minute Oatso Simple for breakfast, toast with a delicious spread for lunch. Basa fillets (microwaveable!) with microwave chips, smothered in tartare sauce.
They take so little time but taste good. Try Googling recipes that take less than five minutes. There is a way!

I don't. I skipped so many meals because I was too lazy to cook.. And some other times I was so lazy that instead i ended up cooking 2 hours.
The trick is to find a trigger to start.
But if you just can't be bothered just cook 4 portions when you feel like it and freeze it.
Ready for the next three times you'll lazy out. ❤️
