Thank you all so, so much for your kind comments and support! I am so grateful even though it seems I am not caring at all. I have had a very, very tough week. I was supposed to have most of it off work to spend with my family and recuperate from working seemingly endlessly since I got back from our trip in the fall.  Well, the day after Christmas our manager tested positive.  Although I've been assistant manager for such a short time and not trained on so many things, I had to take over running the whole shop.  I can not tell you how complicated and crazy difficult it was.  I had to manage the whole team to do our inventory of the store, while still having a ton of shoppers.  We have a million suppliers and an archaic way of using computers... It might seem like not such a big deal, but our operations director, to whom I am supposed to look for help, also had covid and could not be reached.  It was so stressful.  Long, endless hours... so much over time. Last straw was trying to do payroll before midnight last night although I had never seen a bit of it. I finally had to give up, and the manager, who was feeling well enough to drive, came in to finish it up. I went home to bed. I had a super busy, wonderful day with my family today as we celebrated "Christmas" late since our family could finally all be together. My oldest daughter got engaged to a lovely man at midnight last night!  It was a special and beautiful day today! Back to work tomorrow.   

Oh my gosh!!!!! So crazy! And the engagement! So exciting! I'll write soon. I'm so glad you survived! 

Oh goodness,,,you are so brave to take that on, though it sounds like you had no choice?? Yikes!! On a more exciting note, congrats to your oldest! Another wedding coming right up!! 👏🏻🤗😍 

So you ended up during the job of almost two experienced managers, in the middle of the busiest season and with no prior experience on some tasks?!! That is too much for anyone, Melissa! You are a superwoman! Happy that is over. And happy about the engagement; congratulations!!
