i am having so so so much trouble with portions. i don't feel satisfied with small portions so i always overdo it. this is so hard 😔

Up your protein. Shoot for a gram of protein per lb of body weight

I agree with RN. I also add lots of low cal veggies to make servings large. Cabbage, cucumber, cauliflower, zucchini are a few of my favs

Thank you both RN16 and Shake Those Pounds, I'm definitely trying these tips!! I think I was doing it all wrong (increasing the side dishes instead of the proteins) And I'm going to increase my veggies too 😊

Increase your protein and fiber. There are lots of side dishes that have fiber like broccoli. I am also hungry all day so I eat 2 lunches. I get up early so I eat the bigger lunch at 11 and then a small lunch consisting of mostly protein ( like a can of tuna) at 2 pm. I then have a veggie snack at around 330 and dinner at 530. Try it👍👍

sounds good Diana 1234, maybe eating smaller portions nore often during the day will do the trick. thanks for the advice!!

Add small snacks throughout the day like berries, walnuts, celery with peanut butter or hummus. Also I would cut out all the sugary drinks like OJ and added sugar and coke. Those are a lot of calories and then you don’t have to worry about your portion size nearly as much. You can substitute Stevia for sugar. Good luck

If I feel like I am not eating enough, I bump up the amount of vegetables. I fill my plate with vegetables and they take a long time to eat too. Just made a huge stew with veggies to fill me up.

I also drink water or make tea if I feel like eating but I know I don't have the calories.

I have a hard time with this too. I try measuring my food and bought a little scale also. It helps to know the weight and amount and if it feels small I fill up my plate with more salad greens. sometimes nothing is easy though. be well ❤️

Tablespoon healthy oils ( coconut, olive oil, avocado oil) couple of times per day has helped me control appetite. But yes, self control is always best and this is a lifestyle change? Not just playing around right?

Gotta stay out of fast food restaurants. If this is your routine, a major overhaul may be needed. Please visit the website and fill out your Bio, so that we can learn if you have any health concerns (e.g. high blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis, lack of exercise, etc.). Let us know your height, why you want to lose weight, if you've been thin before, what your goals are.
