Good day to you 🙋♀️💜 This post is in response to golfmarina's comment the other day on my page, regarding differentiating between complex carbs & simple carbs (a very good point!). Basically, the lower you go on this chart, the more complex the carbs are and they will take longer to break down into 'sugar' in your system, which is a good thing👍 Enjoy this terrific Tuesday!

Crystaljo74. Thank you for sharing this. I think it’s very important to understand Sugar and what it can do to the body. While not all Sugar is bad but in excess it can cause quite the damage like of course weight gain. I also recently learned that in Asian medicine bunions are known as sugar bunions. The excess sugar builds up in the foot.

I don't see my Sweet Tarts or Skittles on there. They have a candy coating so they must be a complex carb.

You're welcome golfmarina💙 I am not as strict about 'sugar' as some, but I definitely try to consume it in moderation. My hubby is diabetic, so we keep an 👁 on it for sure😉

Thanks for sharing as this is very interesting! It does make sense in looking at it since I am on macro's as most of the items on the top are less likely to show up on my daily eating. The only thing that caught me off guard was watermelon being up there! My daily macro's I am usually in the bottom 3.

Do ya'll remember when that crazy blonde woman convinced most of country that "FAT MAKES YOU FAT"? She was all about a high carb low fat diet and aerobic workouts only to find out year or so later she was a cocaine addict?

I try to be mindful of all my food intake now and went nearly gluten free. It helps me. I religiously chart my diet habits. Thankfully I like healthy lw carb foods. I love broccoli, lettuce, cabbage.
