How many of us use the macro calculator here on FS?

When I first started, I had no concept of what a macro was or how it might have an effect on my weight loss. So I just kept my calories under the limit suggested and that was it! Now that I've learned from you guys & done some research, I totally rely on the macro percentage numbers/chart (especially for the last meal of the day), literally checking before dinner to see what I'm missing (or what I've had too much of already🤦🏻‍♀️) I am now following the maintenance chart & manage to stay MOSTLY within these parameters, but was pretty strict with myself during the weight loss phase.

Not bad except I would also differentiate between complex carbs and simple carbs. By avoiding simple carbs I lost 26 pounds in 3 months.

Hey Crystal thanks for another informative post! I hadn’t seen this sort of macro comparison before. Will come in handy, I hope and pray, sometime down the road for me. I’m not even sure what my maintenance range is going to be yet (at least 20 pounds from now) but this gives me an idea of how it could work. Also BTW your progress continues to inspire!

You are doing a great job Crystal! I do the same but check throughout the day to make sure mostly that iIm getting my 100+ grams of protein in ..some days it's hard!!💜💜

I use FS for my tracking of macro's. I put in what my trainer suggested for Protein, Carbs & Fat. That can vary depending where people are at but what I did notice that the trainer adjusted my carbs the most from weight loss to maintenance. The one thing that stayed constant for me was the 120 Grams of Protein but I assume that is because I lift weights 3x a week. I am still learning too and seeing other's posts helps to understand. We are all different so I think it can take some tweaking. Love the comparison for guidance!

I love the macro tracking. I aim for around 20 fat 30 protein and 50 carbs doesn't always happen but close enough most days. my fat grams and protein grams are a fixed number to stay around and my carb Intake changes on my daily calorie Intake goal for that day .

Too many carbs in that for me. I usually try to keep mine under 35 didn't make that today though, thanks to what I was brought for breakfast boy could I tell the difference!

Diana💕 Right now the only way I end up getting enough protein is with protein shakes, which are definitely not a 'natural' food source🤦‍♀️ The struggle is real!💙🦋

Carbs at 50% keeps my energy levels high. I am using the maintenance profile and have little hunger except for later in the evening. I will have an apple if I must have something.
