Sk.17, this has been a struggle of mine and I imagine many others. My generation and older truly believed that your worth or value hinged on what you did. It is easy to think that we are a certain way because we do certain things. But the reverse feels more accurate to me. We do certain things because we are a certain way. And perhaps the difference is subtle; but I think fully embracing the implications of this idea can be life-altering.
