So I met my goals of working out every morning.
My breakfast and lunches are keto/paleo and healthy. If I have a snack it is healthy, I put coconut oil in my coffee and tea.

My issue is after work at home. Around dinner time I slack off
my main meal is also paleo for dinner-but I notice sometimes I will slip and have chocolate. Last night I was stressed out and exhausted. I had about 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream and 2 chocolates. I think this would of been avoided if my co workers did not pressure me into having a sliver of the marble wedding cake at work. I notice if I slip slightly once in the day it effects me later and I feel its "okay" to have a piece of chocolate or a sweet. If I can just stick to my guns and say "no" to all treats, I will FINALLY see results. Like I said for myself yesterday, if I can stick to about 50g carbs a day for 2-3 weeks straight I can see result and it will keep me motivated to not eat anything sweet.

Congrats on achieving your workout goal... You have the right attitude, so you CAN and will meet your weight loss goals sooner than later too!

Progress photos are HUGE as well. There's been times where I've taken photos when I feel like I'm making no progress and compare it to the previous one and can see that I actually have.

Good job on the workouts! I agree with Millerm40. Trying to change our behaviors all at once is really hard. Maybe if you have keto/paleo approved planned snack ready at night.

Yesterday was difficult because I decided at the spur of the moment to start counting calories and what my intake. Well it did not go very well because I was not prepared. But I know that it will only get better. I will take my time and ease my way into it.

Thanks for all the support guys. Maybe I need to focus on one goal at a time. Now that I got the workout down and my 2 meals of the day locked in well, I need to overcome the stress causing me to eat bad things. Glen I can totally relate. The late at night after work being tired and stress makes my will power go wayyyy down. I do have many paleo snack options that can curb a sweet tooth but they are not low carb. Maybe if I can settle with a little piece of 75% dark chocolate which isn't high in carb at all. But I also find I crave sugar trying to eat below 50g carb . It is like my body is so tired and needs carbs. I guess what I need to figure out is how to balance low carb and working out everyday. Btw Glen, I have been noticing when I eat something like a cookie or chocolate I do not always pay attention to the goodness and next think you know they are gone and it wasn't like you had any cookie or chocolate at all. I think if we have a treat we need to be in tune to how it testes and makes us feel so we don't need to OD on it to actually feel the effects ..lol or see the BAD effects (weight gain lol)

Maybe instead of grabbing a snack think of something else that relaxes you and do that? I try to do that whenever possible. Usually by the time I am done with the planned distraction I forget I wanted to eat. Lately I have been having these sinful teas, too, that are helping to curb my sweet tooth because I am really missing fruit. You can do it, you managed the workouts easily.

Good point nicholaix I drink a lot of herbal tea with coconut oil at work and it keeps me on track. I should try doing the same thing at home. If I put in the time... yoga helps...but when I try to do yoga my two dogs attack me on the floor. I find that if I make dinner right away and fill up on that I am so less likely to snack on something bad.

Great job on the workouts! Making that a habit is so important and getting that exercise will make you feel so good. Like BeGracious said, one thing at a time--that is the approach I have been going with. Get one good habit in place and then figure out what to tackle next. Glen--between the pizza, the hash browns, and the chocolate chip cookies, I think you are my food craving twin! My dog likes to do yoga with me too. :)

One step at a time - look at what you are accomplishing, then make another small change. It all adds up in the end!

Thanks HCB & Izzy I am trying to view my accomplishments as small steps towards my goal. I can be impatient which is why I feel like I fall off the path. But some accomplishment is better than none at all

Thanks Drag. I normally stay within my RDI, went over yesterday because of the few treats but I am doing better today. I wish everytime I craved something bad I would take a nap...

Panigale, go to iifym and calculate your calories there. RDI on FS is notoriously high.

I have always been a chocoholic but since I have been using Salad Pizazz either as a snack or with my raw veggies I have not been craving chocolate. Was able to buy chocolate for guests last week and did not feel tempted to grab the chocolate. Not sure if it's the nuts or if my will power has surged but am pleased that I am not craving the chocolate. In the past it was not unusual for me to eat over half a package of oreos at one sitting and sometimes with a large bowl of chocolate ice cream.

Ah Oreos. One of those things I could eat a whole Package of. Since I found out Oreos are actually addicting in the brain I stopped buying them all together. Thanks northern. I'll try out iifym

OH MY! I could have written your post Panigale1199 except I'm not doing Paleo. But I stick yo my healthy eating until after dinner, than I am almost crazy wanting chocolate! What is Salad Pizazz and where can I get it?

Have you ever thought about a healthy trail mix? Dried cranberries, almonds, pecans, raisins, and then have chips of dark chocolate in it to help your day time snacking! It gives you the right kind of fats with the nuts and the sweetness with the cranberries and dark chocolate..dark chocolate is pretty decent in iron which is what carries the oxygen through the blood (which women typically run low in... and its just a very yummy snack) but if you eat it in between meals as a snack it will curb that slight craving...and it is OK to have little slips! I have yet to try iifym BUT I have heard nothing but good things about it...BUT if I ate anything I wanted like you can with iifym I would feel horrible because certain things don't sit well with my tummy... That's why I just eat as healthy as I can with the occasional cheats...don't get me wrong I'm no expert on dieting but i do think you should try things until you find out what works with your own body! And don't let anyone pressure you into eating cake! Or anything you don't want to! You got this! And if they know it's important for you to follow thru with your goals they won't pressure you! You got this! Stay strong!!!! I hope this help!

I just reread your post.. And I'm a dummy..if your doing the paleo you can't eat nuts... You can totally disregard the trail mix comment then... Lol but the rest take with you!! Sorrrrry!!!

Nuts and seeds are fine on Paleo...no peanuts tho, strictly speaking they are legumes. Limit nuts and seeds to 1 to 2 ounces per day (60grams) if you are trying to lose weight as they are quite calorific. You will be fine Panigale :)

Thanks all! It's ok, Nuts are okay on paleo. I do not really do trail mixes, And if I do I have to have dark chocolate chips in it. I am not a huge fan of nuts anyway which is fine. The only time I consume nuts is baking. I usually use almond meal or coconut flour. Even then thats like a treat. But thank you for the support!!!! it was needed. So far I am not doing bad on the craving thing. If I crave something sweet i may have a piece of chocolate but not over do it. Or I turn to a piece of fruit :)
