@otb, it was fat that brought me here too! I share your enthusiasm for the great tools to be found here on FS and the wonderful support too! The proof is in the pudding (so to speak😉)

I have been hesitant to suggest this site after the reaction of several people upon hearing the name. I does give an me an opportunity to describe the site and it's benefits. They tell me they want to lose weight but I think they are not ready to put in the work...

Really the explanation makes sense but they were probably going for the shock value of it. But really almost any and everyone you will ever meet will ask you "what's your secret to success?" So a small pun of "fat" doesn't bother most with a sense of humor.

just tell them using fatsecret helps keep your fat secret.  

The name drew me in Crystaljo74 because it let me know that this App is the Secret to losing unwanted Fat. great recipe's, great people, great tips on everyday life experiences.  

@CrystalJo74 I would tell them the app reveals the secret hidden fat calories in food you eat, so you can avoid them.
