Down another pound this morning! This weight (170) is the lowest number that has me categorized as "obese" according to BMI. Even though I know that these categories are not completely accurate or objectively true, and they certainly don't mean anything about someone's worth as a person, it still bothers me. I don't see myself as obese and the label really upset me when I took my health assessment. So, I look forward to shedding that label soon.

It's snowing again here--we are supposed to get 4-8 inches of snow today. I'm up early and it's quiet out.

I know the feeling about those labels. I have never really seen myself as obese either, more along the lines of voluptuous and curvy. but at 5'2 and 178 I guess I was wrong, having always been top heavy my whole life when I started becoming bottom heavy as well, I knew it was time to change things. And when my own brother asked me one day when he was over for coffee, "hey sis, are you pregnant?" knowing my hubby has had a vasectomy it really bothered me. I don't want to look pregnant at 40 or have other people wandering the same thing.

This is so similar to my situation! I'm 44, 5 foot 2, and started this a few weeks ago at 178. The pregnancy question is terrible--sorry to hear that. I like your FS name "back in control." I agree and am right there with you!

I agree with both of you. I can't wait just to get back in the 100's. I can't believe i let myself get so bad.
