Today is my Birthday. Not fishing for birthday wishes lol but rather lamenting on the past year. Last year I turned 70 and reached my goal weight by my birthday. This year I am over 10 pounds heavier 😕 Now I can blame it on the fact that I fell and broke two pelvic bones last October which had me laid up for 5 months- because I am fully healed now. I can’t in good conscience use that excuse any more. It’s hard to start again. But I want to. So I will 😊

CB: Hap Hap Happy Birthday to youuuuuuuuu! ((hugs)) you have had a remarkable journey!!! Celebrate that :) I gained 15 pounds pretty fast after my knee injury last summer. Then another 5. It's been over a year, so I feel that "excuse" can be tossed out LOL. 71 is remarkable! You have always been an inspiration here at FS and I do appreciate you. It happens to all of us. Don't beat yourself up. Forgive your body for doing what was needed to heal. You can get back to where you were, it just might take extra time - that's ok. Do what you were doing, it obviously worked before, it can work again. You got this. p.s. Happy Birthday 🎉

Congratulations! I am in my 70th year and have arthritis in my hips and several herniated discs but I HAVE to lose some weight by hook or by crook. Not being able to exercise slows everything down, doesn't it?
