The past few days I've logged every little thing that's gone in my mouth. Even the stray piece of zwieback I found and munched on last night. Already, if I see something as too much of a chore to log, I just don't eat it. That includes a lot of Swiss convenience food things that don't barcode scan properly or aren't in the database at all...so a lot less processed things. Also, fast food. It's way too hard to try to find the Swiss nutritional information for stuff (I mean even the Sprite is way different from US). So I'm seeing these as positive things.

I had a goal to do 15 minutes on the elliptical trainer every day this week, but I skipped yesterday because I have a wicked ear infection. I might try to do 15 easy minutes today, because I hope the movement will loosen stuff up a bit and help drainage. I'm also just very tired though.

I'm going to try a couple weeks of 1500-2000 kcals a day and see how that affects my weight loss. I know that is a lot of calories and doesn't seem like a diet at all, but I'm quite big right now and FS set my RDI at 2200 to lose 1 lb a week. So, hopefully it helps. I just want to see that number moving with a downward trend..I don't care how slowly it goes right now. I just need it to start.

you will get there, just take on step at a time. And also make sure you go to the doctor and get that ear checked!!!!

Sounds like a good plan. We calculated that FS calculates about 300 calories too high, so 1500-2000 sounds like a good goal.

If one does not eat properly and watch the calorie count a chocolate bar or a large bowl of ice cream can sabotage even the best exercise plan. I try to stick to a daily caloric intake of 1500-1800 calories with regular exercise. My primary focus is what I am eating and how many calories and next is my exercise routine. I also do regular intermittent fasting which really works for me. It is really experimenting with different things before you find what works best for you and your body. I like your attitude and sometimes things move quickly and at other times nothing seems to be happening at all. I am at the point where I have dropped form about 205 lbs to 175 lbs and now the process is at a snails pace. The last 5-7 lbs are always the most difficult. However, I am very happy with the progress I have made, but it has taken over a year to get to this point with a few set backs. If you stick with it and keep a balanced routine with an open mind things will definitely go in the downwards trend. If you fall off the wagon (so to speak) don't judge yourself too harshly and just pick yourself back up and get back on. Don't forget that once in a while you need to treat yourself. I allow myself 4-6 small squares (27 calories each) of individually wrapped 70% dark cacao chocolate each day. I am a sugarholic and chocoholic and an emotional eater so I really have to be careful as when I binge I really, really binge. Luckily with lots of discipline the dark chocolate as a treat has really prevent me from binging on the ice cream and milk chocolate and it now satisfies my sweet tooth most of the time. I used to hate dark chocolate, but now I have come to love it and it is less calories, it helps to prevent my binges and I eat far less of it. Good luck with your downward trend....
