Well, been trying to share photos for 4 days now. No luck. 🤷🏻‍♀️ We went camping for my birthday, up to Bandelier National Monument. Day 1 we checked out the Vistors Center which included a gift shop and cafe. Made a mental list of what I wanted from the gift shop and had a bday meal at the cafe. I had an elk cheeseburger and Joe had a bison burger. We shared apiece of a hazelnut chocolate mouse cake for birthday dessert. Day 2 - Made a sunrise hike from our campsite to the cliff dwellings. It was spectacular! We were by ourselves on the entire hike down and while viewing the ruins down on the Main trail. Well except for a mule deer nursing her 2 week old twins by the stream. After Bandelier we headed over to Valles Caldera. We had visited same time last year, so all was the same, but a park ranger was telling us about the long list of improvements that are in the works. From there we headed into the town of Los Alamos. We had a meal at a mediocre chinese restaurant. 😕 and then back to our campsite. Day 3 - Packed up and headed out early. Stopped in White Rock at the Pig & Fig to have thee most delicious breakfast. Plain omelette, 2 sausage patties and french toast with cinnamon sugar sprinkled on top. Only finished half. Bought some pastries to take to my friend in Santa Fe and for us at home. Visited the cathedral in Santa Fe, lit a candle for my mother and stopped to visit my friend at her Hallmark store. Got home in the evening and took a nice cool shower. Starting new tomorrow, on both home projects and logging. Maybe, if FS let's me, I will get some photos up. Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and looking forward to a new week. ♡
