I have done slimfast and still do occasionally. I lost most of my weight this way. I like to put a frozen banana or ice when I blitz it as it makes it thicker. I sometimes mix the flavours as well choc/cafe latte, banana/choc, strawberry/choc, banana/strawberry etc. I found them quite filling and it helped me keep control. Hope it works for you. x 

I've never tried them but it might be a good short term strategy for you Heather until you get your longer term strategy worked out. Gives you a bit of breathing space til you can get your head in the right place. 

I only like the slim fast chocolate shakes that you make yourself I blend it then pop it into microwave for 1.59 secs ( far too precise I know 🤭) and have it every morning as a nice cup of hot chocolate , I have done this before and lost three stone eating a calorie controlled diet alongside . I then had my knee replaced and now find myself starting again as I’ve been quite restricted since having it done comfort eating got me through the pain 🤦🏼‍♀️Good luck I hope you find the answers that are suitable to you  

Thank you, n soowot what a great idea, I hate milkshakes so the strawberry one was a challenge but iv since been introduced to caramel and if I warm it up it'll be more of a treat for me than a chore thank u everyone xx 

I did it 30 years ago lost a bit didnt work for me hope it does for you 

only person I know did slimfast was my mum in the 70's lol. didn't even know it was still a thing tbh xx 

Looks like I'm gonna have to be super good on it and fetch slimfast bavk into this era 😂😂 

My mother used to use Ayds Diet Sweets Anyone remember them? There is nothing new in dieting really. Just rebranding and marketing. 

U gotta give it a try Heather, god knows I need something to give me a push in the right direction atm. Xx 

Heather- I got to be honest, I don’t think meal replacement is the answer, they are about 180 calories, and for a extra 70 so 250 cals, you can have something like muesli for breakfast and a egg or ham salad for lunch, that come packed with essential nutrients, however, I understand the want to try something different, so good luck 🤞🏻👍🏻 

I must agree with our Jamie 100% if u want can post a sample of what I eat when am dieting…. Maybe it would give u an ideal  

Thank u, Jamie ur right with the calories it is quiet high, with me it's portion control, and if I mess up with one thing I binge all day thinking ill start again tomorrow. With the slim fast it's one weight for the milk then 2 scoops and I have some fruit with it, it's like it's all portioned if that makes sense?? Xx 

Good luck with slimfast but youll need to be careful of binge eating when youve had enough of it🤞🏻😉
