Thank you all so very much for your kind and thoughtful comments! She has worked for and interned at an art museum and natural history museum. Her thesis project was specific to helping a local city museum. She doesn't have a job in her field yet, but has lots of contacts and connections. It will take some time to find the right fit. There are only two museolgy programs offered on the whole west coast that I'm aware of, and she fought hard to get accepted... It didn't happen the first time, so she spent a year making herself a more knowledgeable and better qualified applicant. Near perfect grades where not enough. She spent a summer exploring over forty museums in Germany, Italy, nand France.... A student card gets you in very cheaply and she lived on almost nothing staying with friends most of the time... And friends of friends!

Oh... and Spain and Switzerland too! :) Such "suffering" to expand her knowlege! She volenteered at museums locally and learned all she could. Along the way she became a professional framer, art handler, and hanger. This gives her a nice side gig with galleries and private owners. I am so proud of how hard she has worked, and I hope she finds great satisfaction with a terrific career. Even if not terribly lucrative, it should be pretty rewarding for her! Maybe someday she will get to be a curator!

I think it’s so wonderful that she’s worked to position herself to move into a field that she’s passionate about! Too many of us just settle for something that pays the bills. What an exciting time for your family!
