OMG DONALD DUCK AND HIS FAMILY EAT TURKEY FOR CHRISTMAS! I think I'm gonna be sick. Doesn't that make him a cannibal? THE HORROR!

So, I've been busy...

Solstice tree

I dried oranges and apples for my tree. Then I found the pine cones under a tree at work. It's pretty cool when the lights shine through the oranges. I made this wreath for the front of my house. Not sure if I like it or not. I glued glitter inside half ornaments and wrapped a hula hoop with a garland. I wanted it to be fuller. Next year I guess. Part of the problem is now all I can hear is the Chipmunk's Christmas song where Alvin keeps asking for a hula hoop. Sigh. I got the hula hoop at the toy store and they had to bring it from the back store room, and I mean the BACK it was freezing when they handed it to me. Guess kids these days just don't want a hula hoop for Christmas.

My Mom's scarf is almost done. It would be done but there was a giant hornets nest in the middle of the skein and it took two days to undo the knot. If I have time I'm going to make the daughter a pleated spiral scarf from fleece.

Eating has been BAD! Did I mention I have 25 dozen cookies in my kitchen right now? UGH! My family gets together every year and makes cookies. That's 10 people making cookies. I have been too busy to get them out to the neighbors. Did manage to take some to the restaurant and one neighbor, but so far that's it. I like cookies. Darn.

I really can't wait for Christmas to be over. Is that bad?

Not cannibalism. He's a duck. It's like us eating pigs or cows. No yuckiness lol.

Remember the Denny's add that had Ms. piggy promoting the ham sandwich? LOL I'm making cookies with the kids soon....I've been putting it off because I love them and it's so tempting to eat.

I love cookies. I don't remember that commercial, but I did find one on youtube of her ordering a grand slam which comes with several pieces of dead pig on the plate. O_O Kermit's only comment was "we're gonna need a bigger booth" REALLY KERMIT?? I don't know Msbuggirl I think it'd be more like me eating my cousin. At the end of the cartoon the turkey lived and they ate a ham, so maybe the animators figured it out. The turkey didn't talk though so it was kinda like how Goofy and Pluto are both dogs. I'm a HUGE Donald Duck fan too. I have a large collection of items, but I may have to have a talk with him about his diet.

Had to laugh. I have a Quaker Parrot, he loves treats. Two favorites are chicken and cooked eggs. One of my daughters thinks that's awful.

The rolling credits on the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Special shows Woodstock and Snoopy enjoying a turkey.....we presented a similar question to one of my coworkers who dearly loves Charles Schultz' Peanuts Gang. We thought that was weird too. lol

Love the tree. Very pretty -- and natural. Bet it smells lovely! The wreath...maybe add green wire strands inside the wreath and then wrap it with garland. You'd need to attach strands with green wire from top and bottom and maybe sides to stabilize it. Just a thought....

SOYLENT GREEN!!! I have never heard of "A Modest Proposal". After looking it up I kind of want to read it. It sounds brilliant! I always thought I'd like to come back as a hawk, now...maybe not.

I have a smaller hula hoop that I was going to wire to the bigger hoop, but I ran out of garland, and patience, and money. lol
