OK, I am really getting frustrated. I am trying to get down to the weight I was when I got out of the army. I realize it was a "couple" of years ago - OK, maybe more than a couple years ago - more like a few decades ago, but I believe I can do it and I want to do it before the end of summer; therefore I am reducing my RDI on my own. Based on my calculations, I have to target 1500 calories a day and maintain my current workout regimen. That may be difficult to do but nothing ventured, nothing gain – or should I say, lost. Here I go – the next 8 weeks will tell me if I can do.

Skydiverjim, reality check. Trying to go back to 20yrs. will only take 20 off what we got left. Venture into 'The today' "Today Well Lived" and Kick it Live!!!

up your protein, protein is king of fatloss and muscle building. if you have a office job your peddling backwards. cardio, heavy weights, consistancy. its easy

At this junction, it’s more than just calories. What are your current macros? What calculator did you use? Are you eating enough protein to stimulate muscle growth? IF your macros are dialed in, you may not need to cut down to 1500. If you have questions, please reach out.

Oh, guys and gals, I realize I will not be able to get into the same shape I was back in my 20’s & 30’s but I am within 10 lbs. and I can get back to that weight. My overall strength and endurance will not be the same but compensating for age, I can get to a target that will put me into a better physical state.

Trt and lifting weights got me into great shape… may want to get some labs done if your having trouble putting on muscle

I was on 1,400 calories a day and workouts but not really intense. Was not losing, cut my calories down to 1200 a day. Hopefully I’ll see some lose

Skyjim you dam well can get as fit or fitter from your 20's. Nutrition, consistancy, dedication and will power. I am 37 most teens, young bucks cant touch me.

For me it wasn't about calories, but how my body was able to process food. Google "Top 21 Hacks for Immunity and Metabolism". When I read this I discovered I was doing many of the right things but in the wrong quantities. After making the adjustments from the article the scale and my exercise/calorie counts came into alignment. Good luck.
