I usually have these brilliant (translated to mean time consuming) ideas that don't always pan out! 🤯😆 We will go with Joe's plan, less $ and less work. My plan was to get the old painted floor to it's nature unpainted state to match the new floor boards Joe put in a few months back. My plan is unrealistic, so going with Joe's plan which is to paint. 👍 I am so glad it's a small porch. 😄 

Good exercise!!! You will have to show us the end result. ❤️ 

Thank you Erq and Wifey. I had more fun mixing up our leftover paint to get the color we wanted. 😉 It is very satisfying once the work is finished. We give ourselves plenty of time. This isn't a rush job, thank goodness. 😄

Thank you Petra and Nikki. 💕 I'm thankful for small projects like this, because I get in some exercise that I usually wouldn't get in.  

I see lots of exercise in this project with the floor painting. Looking forward to seeing the photos of the finished project. 

I feel your pain, Hermana... Every couple years, I'm recruited by my folks to sand then stain their 10x30 deck, rails, and stairs. I usually skip the gym for that month lol. Now this calls for a couple extra calories 😈 

We used to do the same - then one day - we used a good quality oil based paint - actually fairly reasonably priced - and applied it with a roller - and that held up for years and looked really good through rain, hail, snow, ice, and dirt. It makes the job much easier. Fun! Have fun. 

Oh goodness! That is a lot of work! I'm sure you will both b delighted with the results! Fresh space to make beautiful with your decorative powers!

Chris, that is so kind of you. ❣️. I saw a video of a comedian doing skit of adking his mother what she wanted for her birthday and her reply was to clean out the basement. 😄 Reminded me of the time I asked my kids to paint the kitchen for my Mother's Day present. 👍

That reminds me I need to sand and stain my deck railing! It's needed it for a few years now but it never seems the right time!  

Bear, I am so sorry, just saw your comment. 🤦‍♀️ That sounds like a big job! Big jobs always seem to be put off for some reason or another. 😉 For years we had a pile of rocks around our apricot tree. We placed them there, temporarily 🙄 after gathering up from various places throughout the property. Every year we would say, "we really need to move those rocks". One day I told Joe, "if we don't move those rocks soon, we will get so used to seeing them there that they will become part of the landscape and we'll never move them!" We started moving them one day using our cart and riding mower, when one of the neighbors came by with a skip loader and moved them for us. I tell this long story as an encouragement to not let your deck become a pile of rocks. 😉😁🤦‍♀️💖 

That wîll be a good workout for sure! 😅🙌🏻 

Eva, I was able to work on it for a couple of days and then Joe had to finish it by himself, because I got some annoyances with the fibromyalgia. Sometimes I think I subconsciously get sick to get out of working! 🤪 That's actually not that funny, because when I was a little girl my father would accuse me of trying to get out of helping with unloading the groceries, because I had to go to the restroom when we got home from the market. I was like 7 or 8 years old! I doubt that I was cunning enough to come up with a plan like that at that age. The crazy face is reference to my father. 😄 Anyway, I am feeling better now, just in time to decorate. 😁
