Grape Day, All Day 🍇🍇🍇

Enjoying red grapes today, a welcome change from the heavier bananas and mangoes this week.

Have started a new habit of doing some exercises before each meal this week: 150 crunches, 30 arm curls with resistance band, and 50 high marches with elbow to knee. Sounds like nothing, it's just 3x/day, but I feel less guilty about sitting down to food. Of course, this can also lead to ridiculous obsessiveness so I'm keeping an eye on how strict I am with myself.

Goal: Decrease Total Cholesterol from 216 down to 190 by July 2022
Method: Increase daily exercise, remove saturated fat, 85% raw vegan

Nice exercise habit! I can't do one crunch and if I was only eating grapes all day I'd put off the exercise

I wish I could eat grapes but unable to because I have epi and cannot digest the skins.

Interesting. Some nutritionists say we need some cholesterol some say no don’t eat it! It’s all so confusing. Just like cholesterol lowering meds. The side affects can be horrendous.

@Stormy: any cholesterol that I was eating likely came from cheese, which also means saturated fat. I don’t eat meat or fish or eggs. Recent studies seem to place emphasis on reducing saturated and trans fats to less than 6 grams a day, rather than focusing on cholesterol in food. Anything is doable for just 3 months. Re-testing my Lipids again in July and then re-evaluate.

@Fritzy: it would be great to have a hottie fan me and feed me grapes all day, but sadly I don’t have any excuse to forego exercise 🤪

I actually can find an excuse for just about anything - housework, exercise, drinking soda. But after walking daily for about a week now I feel bad I wasn't able to get out for 30 minutes. I'm almost able to get up one small hill. Once I do that I can walk for at least an hour. I've been buying the green grapes because they look so good. But I like the red grapes too. Is this your last day of eating only fruit?

@Fritzy: Great job on the walking 👏🏼👍You’ll be over that hill by next week I bet. It can only help with your spine and legs. As for the fruit only days, tomorrow is the last. Then it’s fruit for breakfast and lunch with a meal-salad for dinner (protein + olive oil dressing, lots of fresh vegetables).

@Sly: I saw your plan for water aerobics 3x week — and that is fantastic!!! Water resistance can be as easy or as hard as you make it, depending on how low you drag your arms and the speed that you move. So good for bad joints!

😂 on the comment Fritzy will over that hill. I guess it’s a good thing in that context that Fritzy is working to be over the hill. 😂 The two of you are awesome! Keep at it!
