Monday Monday...So good to me🎶🌞

Yup ~ it's Monday all right and we've got this week ahead of us to really make some progress on reaching our goals! They don't even need to be BIG goals (baby goals are JUST FINE!)

Let me see..........if I had to name 1 baby goal for this week, it would be to do 20 minutes of stretching exercises every single morning. I really REALLY miss my 30-45 minutes of cardio/strength workouts every day, but for now...this is a more realistic, attainable & safe expectation for me during this 'flare'.

Now, how bout you? Can you share just 1 'baby' goal for this week? It always helps me to follow through better when I feel accountable to the FS fam, and I thank you SO much for 'havin my back' (so to speak😉) You guys are AMAZING and I'm so very VERY glad I found you here on FS💙💙💙

One of the best, easiest, cheapest bone strengthening exercises you can do is WALK. There is no downside to walking and enormous physical benefits. No special expensive equipment, EXCEPT for a decent pair of shoes. That bone pounding movement is very effective. Most people can do it if they will get up off the couch and venture out the front door.. time, distance and speed determine calorie count, but don’t do it for the calories— unless you are a marathon runner. Good for your heart, good for your mental health. I love walking and hiking and mentally always feel so refreshed when I’m done.

Kenna that is so true. I am back walking after work and I try to get a min of 2 miles in. But if I am really fired up or "rage walking" I get over 3 miles in.

@Kenna...that is SUCH good advice and I used to take walks every day (way before the Fitbit thing) but due to hip deterioration (osteoarthritis, bursitis) walking is now very painful for me. I miss my 'walks' very much...so good for mind, body & spirit😊

That last graphic comparing the two meals is really important. Sometimes what seems like the healthier choice may not be!

@RhumbaGirl...Right! They're BOTH pretty 'healthy' but one has way more calories AND less volume! Interesting, huh?!

Your post and all the comments for Monday showed up today.. My baby steps this week are #1) do at least 1 random act of kindness every day. The Joy and endorphins kick everything else into gear. #2) Do something outside every day. Yesterday got 2 RAK in and 3 hours cleaning Spirea/flower beds and planting. Today got the RAK, but not looking good for outside. Wind is 40mph gusting to 55 and blowing dirt and other stuff! Think I'll just settle for your mini workout and a few trips up and down the stairs. Your posts are the Best. Kinda like having my own life coach! Have a Spectacular Day!
