I had a bad day so I ate white rice, which I love and a Vietnamese ~ ish dish with tofu. I know it’s not how to deal with my emotions... but old habits die hard. I’m trying really hard to stay focused and I’m not gonna give up. It’s just gonna take time😐

Delicious! there's nothing wrong with eating white rice, all foods can fit! you can still eating your fav foods and still reaching your goals!

@nanaluvxoxo thank you so much for that. I was hoping someone would chime in and say something to that effect. Being from Hawaii we eat rice with breakfast, lunch and dinner. I used to eat twice that much rice per meal. Trying to do things in moderation. Your input is greatly valued.

That appears to be a truly healthy dinner ... I eat rice whenever I desire - but I have strong portion control - 1/4 cup - that is it and that is all. That looks like a highly attractive dinner choice. With a daily deficit - you should not worry about eating any of your favourite foods. (( will also read about resistant starches as suggested by Kenna Morton) Those are good food choices on your attractive plate.

I don't subscribe to the notion food is only used as "fuel". I eat for enjoyment, too. You can eat all the dishes/ foods you love as long as you use portion control & balance. It looks like you achieved that here 😊
