That's right, after a week of taking in less than 1000 calories per day (about 500 to 800 calories) and doing about 3300 calories of activity per day, I MAINTAINED my weight. There is something hidden deep within my DNA that will saolve all world hunger problems. Are there any scientists out there? Research me and you'll win a Nobel Prize for science AND a Nobel Peace Prize for preventing billions from starving to death. I'm right here, ready to be a guinea pig. Let's save the world together, shall we? Are people starving to death in 3rd world countries because they can only get a hold of 300 calories per day? No worries, inject them with whatever it is you find in my bloodstream, and they'll actually GAIN weight! I'm a miracle! BOW YOUR HEAD! KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!!!

Seale! Anything less than 1200 calories puts your body into starvation mode! It will hold onto as much fat as possible to keep you alive. There is actual research on it that mentions cavemen and their periods of famine. Don't hurt yourself while trying to lose weight!

Oh no, I'm ECSTATIC! I should make a ton of money from being paid for the starvation antidote they pull from my blood. I should be a millionaire soon! It's obvious to me now that I may actually lose a pond a month if once a week I suck on a Cheerio for nourishment.

I know it sucks, but it's all a part of the journey. Some weeks we owe the scale and some weeks the scale owes us. You can do everything right and gain (or maintain) and you can overeat and lose big. Our bodies chemistry is strange. Sometimes our body holds on to the fat, lol. And it takes a while for it to let go. Consistency is key. Stay the course. Your chart looks amazing. Keep on going and the scale WILL eventually catch up. Heck you may have lost some fat/inches but you don't see it on the scale yet. And YES that does happen. I had a friend go down a few sizes with out the scale moving for while. Yo are doing great and have a great sense of humor which you need on this journey.

I get it, it took me 2 1/2 years to get to this point, and I've only been losing a few months. But DEAR HEAVENLY MERCY! THIS IS MADDENING!!!! I want a normal meal without seeing a friggin' GAIN every week! I mean my God, Biggest Loser contestants get 1600 calories a day; concentration camp inmate were fed 1200 calories a day. How in the name of all that is holy can a 6'3" man not lose weight on 800 CALORIES??? The math doesn't work. The physics doesn't work! There's only one explanation: I'm magic....

There is also possibility that you: a) gained muscle b) are well hydrated c) read your calories wrong (sugary drinks, too much sugary fruits etc) d) also, when your bowel movement has slowed down and you haven't had your no 2 for a while, it also adds to your weight e) simply wore clothes/shoes that were heavier Please keep in mind that weight-loss is a marathon and daily intake of less than 1000 combined with 3000 calorie work-outs is waaaay too few calories which will make you cranky, sad and weak. In short term it may end up in binge-eating and the downward spiral begins from there... As far as I see, you have a serious wish to lose weight and are willing to work on yourself to get there. Only thing missing is relistic goals that are sustainable. Please work together with your GP or nutrition nurse/doctor to put together a plan that's equally healthy, delicious and can help you lose weight. Quick fixes only make feel weak and your aim is to feel good and healthy. Keep an eye on your main goal. Keep up the work and don't let sarcasm get you! ;)
