I haven't been reporting my daily weights...cuz I took a BIG bobble a few days ago and wanted to hide it from the world. Vanity, vanity...all is vanity😔

I wanted to wait until I had another drop to report, but then my graph won't be accurate & true. There ARE days when, for absolutely no apparent reason, that we will ALL have bobble days! So, I want to be up front with you (my peers) and with myself. When I figured it out this morning, I had actually lost 0.8 pounds for the week (even with that huge speed bump). So pffftttt!

There is no such thing as a "cheat day" when the body requires a bigger caloric intake - usually seeking some type of nutritional input and nutritional input includes fats in the food plan ---- there is no such thing as a "cheat day" for a higher caloric intake --- NOt when the RDI is in a constant Caloric deficit for months at a time - during a steady weight loss.

The fat is usually stored around muscles and the muscles use the stores of fat - as a source of energy - what happens during exercise is that the lean muscle increases and those stored fats are transformed into that lean muscle ... and lean muscle uses energy as opposed to stores of fat in cells. A leaner muscled body makes better use of energy input - faster metabolism - foods digested are used more for energy --- because the body has little or no fat stores. The lean muscle on the body is the last source that the body will use as a form of energy to support the body systems. It is an excellent idea to "tone" the body in order to produce a better metabolism that makes use of the food energy consumed - without making fat stores.

The weight lifters and the body sculptures are on a differing level of metabolism than the rest of us ... Mere Mortals. --- their food plan differs and their requirements differ.

Ok Jergens123, I bet you know more than the scientific consensus. You can gain fat tissue from one meal and that's all there is to it. For your other strange theories, I must say a lot of it comes across as conjecture and the "false information" you accuse me of.

3 days to process foods? What are you on about? The body is constantly storing and using fat during a period of 24 hours. It does not take 3 days to process every thing you eat.

I thought I was magical though.... I can gain a couple pounds of fat and then had the power to lose it all the next day. I WANNA BE A SNOWFLAKE 😭

Wow! Lol - fat cells are for storing fat. Protein synthesis is how your body creates muscle tissue from what you ingest. Two separate processes.

And glycogen is what's stored around the muscles that is used as an energy source during exercise. Otherwise, if all I did were bicep curls, my arms would be shredded while my gut stays flabby lol.... but since it's NOT true, my belly is shrinking without doing a single ab exercise. The body chooses where to pull fat reserves from of its own accord - not by converting one type of cell into another.

Google myths like "spot reducing" and then check out scientific facts like "thermic effect of food (TEF)" and "insulin used in muscle protein synthesis" if you're curious how the mechanics of the body ACTUALLY work 👍

As to the picture, it's absolutely correct. Your body can retain fat. It can also retain water, undigested (or digested) food, muscles grow, bones gain density, organs expand and contract, all that stuff in my belly button adds weight too I think....

Oh, and during exercise, you're actually tearing muscle fibers apart so they don't actually increase until your body builds the tissue back by your consuming protein. And I just learned that I won't see an increase in skeletal muscle mass for 3 more days after I did all that exercise today 😫
