I've now completed August and September on Keto. This has given me some information to analyse my progress. Over the two months I've managed to lose 11 pounds! It's been rocky getting into the grove, there is such a lot to learn. Keto is not like being on a low-fat calorie controlled diet. It needs to be researched, analysed and tweaked!

What I've learnt so far!

My weight dropped steadily over August, but in September my weight had a big drop in the middle of the month, followed by a huge gain (I stuck very closely to my macros).

It just so happens that during this big gain (3 or 4 pounds) I was highly stressed, I was hardly sleeping, and I got rather depressed. What with the weight gain and everything, I could have easily gone back to comfort eating again. But instead, I was very curious what had happened.

Since then I discovered that cortisol can be a major player in weight gain, and one of the symptoms of this is gaining weight around the middle.

I'm not so stressed now, my husband has returned from the UK with the all clear from previous lymphoma problem, with his next appointment in 12 months. Since then, I'm sleeping like a log, and my weight is now going the right way.

Glad you found out what was holding back the weight loss and super happy that your hubby's lymphoma is in remission.
