Leaving to find the best pumpkin pie out there. If not, LOTS of whipped cream!😁 Happy Sunday before Thanksgiving!🦃

It's on my list today too...but I'm on the lookout for the smallest one!

Crystal, Black Bear had the cutest little pies, they were tiny - just for two maybe, but the cutest homemade ones that I’ve ever seen, but they didn’t have any pumpkin.🙁 Thinking of going back just for those tiny pies - probably won’t - as usual I’m confused!🙃 

Dagnabbit....no Black Bear around these parts...oh well. Maybe pick 1 up for us? 😋😁

If hubby is near SD, SD chicken pie shop makes theirs from scratch, including crust.

Katsolo what is SD? South Dakota or San Diego or Storm Drain? 🤣They are fishing Long Beach lately. Next year they start in San Diego again. I’m not sure if I trust him to pick up a pie anyway, I’m kind of on my own in that department. He lets me spend money, but he would get the cheapest pie ever made in America!🙃 May give up and hit Costco. Love your city, Al wanted to move there for the longest time. But ,with the new grandson on the way, I’m staying put! Thanks anyway, wish I could drive there just to hug your dogs!💕

AF means “a lot” but with more colorful language. “Yes AF” would otherwise be stated as, “Oh my goodness, yes, yes 100 times over, yes!” 

Thanks Mermee and HK3 for dealing with my ignorance.👍🤣 I learn something every day! Not sure where AF comes into play in “A Lot”, or Extra, maybe I don’t wanna know, but now I know the good side of it.😆 My husbands going to Home Depot and I’m going with him, hope they have pies there!😁 

Make your own? If I can do it, everybody can. Also, whip your own cream, it's really not that hard. 

Eral, I live in a house from the 40s and the oven broke down about two years ago. 😫 I haven’t been able to bake, but I haven’t been making dinners anyway - no kids and never home. On Thanksgiving we either go get a cabin in the mountains or we go to our trailer with an oven, but this year because my DIL Is expecting we’re staying home. I make pecan pies all the time, haven’t really made pumpkin but a couple times, almost never made whip cream… very proud of you!👍👏👏👏😋 

Yep, without oven, that would be difficult. Just need a fridge for the whipped cream though. Put bowl (metal preferred) and whisk in freezer for a while, pour cream in cold bowl, whisk a bit, add sugar and optional vanilla, then whisk to stiff peaks. Stop before it becomes butter. You can do it by hand or with a mixer. If you feel courageous, use a pastry bag with a star tip to make fancy decorations.

Keeping? Whipped cream? Does that ever happen? It keeps for a few days in the fridge but it hardens a bit.
