Yay! I was hoping to stay the same or lose 1/2 pound, so this was a nice surprise. I'm 5 pounds away from my initial goal, and if i keep things up I should reach that in about a month. I've been moderately successful in cutting back on eating out. I used to get take out at least once every day, but now, I'm down to 4-5 times per week. And I know that at least half of those are because I didn't plan and prepare adequately. However, when I do get take out, I'm planning my other meals around that to ensure that I get enough protein and limit my fat intake. On another nice note, I'm getting used to smaller meals. This morning was one of those days. I didn't make my breakfast ahead of time and I overslept, so I got my regular take out breakfast. As yummy as it is, there isn't enough protein and too much fat. However, now, I am stuffed. It was too much! So, my own smaller more veggie packed breakfasts are paying off in other ways too. :) So this weekend will be another adventure in meal planning and prep. Maybe I can get my take out number down to 2. I'd be very happy with that, but the key is slow and manageable change. This will mean some meals I can freeze for later in the week when I have no desire to cook. I got this.
