Nice view! My Mom & Dad and other family/friends are resting @Rodeo, NM cemetary. My Dad was born in Lordsburg and his family runs the town, still. Most of the elders have passed and the young ones have all dispersed to other locations where there is more civilization. Which part are you in? My Mom & Dad purchased a house in Lordsburg right before my Dad passed in 1989. Mom passed away in Mayer, AZ. R.I.P. Mom & Dad. Thank you for the memories of Apache territory where my Father is from. =)

Yes, it is finally starting to feel like Fall. The mornings and evenings are cooler, balloons are in the air and the freezer is once again stuffed to the hilt with green chile! My favorite time of year - I’m glad you’re enjoying it too!

Slow, how nice that your family's from New Mexico. We passed through Rodeo earlier this year on our way home from Tombstone. We are in Mimbres, northeast of Rodeo, by Silver City and at the edge of the Gila National Forest. My husband's family, on his mother's side, have been here for many generations. The newbies came in 1870 from Chihuahua, MX, but everyone else came centuries back. We are always meeting relatives in our area. Yes, Apache country is where we live, in fact one of my husband's 2nd great grandmothers was Mescalero Apache. She married a man originally from Pennsylvania, William H. Young, who was a deputy sheriff for a while in Silver City, back in the 1880s. I hope you have good memories of New Mexico. 🌄❤
