I am done! < 157 lbs, 71 kg, 20.3 BMI, that's enough. Down 45+ lbs in 115 days (0.4 lb/day, not recommended daily intake of 330kcal), it can be done. Change is hardly visible, but I can definitely feel that most of the blubber is gone. I also of course feel pretty weak and light headed, but I think I can recover.

Now to prove the statistics wrong and maintain this weight +/- 5 lbs. First thing first: making myself a huge decadent pizza tomorrow.

If I had one thought after this experiment, it would be that weight fluctuations are very unpredictable, even for long periods. I have no explanation for what happened to me in August, so don't worry too much as long as you stay the course that you know works for you.

The moral support from this site is amazing, it makes the effort a lot less lonesome.

Thank you all for the kind words despite my unconventional post. CrystalJo74, gastropod, rminkler, I do intend to keep monitoring my food while I try to eat more normally and stay on the leaner side. marpingo21, I had a quarter of a watermelon late yesterday before it goes to waste, and just like that gained 2 lbs. I will blame that on sugar shock :) kincanon1, well you got what you asked for :D. On a more serious note, this is w hat happens under the fat layer when one spends more than 18 months commuting be tween bed and couch, watching screens and typing on a keyboard all day. Muscles do quickly atrophy, a lot faster than I thought. yfritz, jimmiepop, I do not look at myself in the mirror very often, but seeing this photo makes me think I really need to do something to rebuild some strength. The good news is that I cannot be less active than today, so even a few minute s of mild activity will help. Finally, Jergens123, we are all different, and this nutrition vs lifestyle balance is a guessing game for all of us, so all opinions have value. I have read this advice of using non-food-related rewards and I am sure that makes complete sense for some of us. For me, I bought a nice little new pan to make the shakshuka some pople have posted. mbuzz95, thank you, I certainly will. Sincere thanks again to everybody, keep up the good work.

I like you! 😊 What a great encouragement you have been to others, and I'm so glad you have found support here. You've reached your goal, which took a lot of perseverance, and now you can move forward with whatever you like to continue your health/fitness/weight journey! Clearly you have the discipline to do anything you set your mind to!

Fatter!=Healthier mmmm...i would say... If (currentFatPercent<=minFatPercent OrElse currentFatPercent>=maxFatPercent) AndAlso currentMusclePercent<=minMusclePercent Then Healthy=false. (The matter is what those lim vals are).

What I can tell you is, - I sleep 7 nights without anxieties, waking up sweating. - All the eczema spots I had are gone. - My constant throat irritation has disappeared. - Stomach pains have vanished. - Hands are steadier. - My head is clearer and I'm more productive at work. - My eyes are clear, my nails are strong, there's a lot less hair in the bathtub after a shower, and I feel generally better. All this to me means that I'm not less healthy than before. If I lost a bit in muscle fibers diameter, I doubt it was only in the last four months, and I don't miss the dead weight.

Yes, you can be much healthier even with more fat. Body fat percentage is a better barometer of health but you can go too far there as well. It also isn't fool proof. You can have a skinny person who got there with bad habits that can also be pretty unhealthy.

I agree with you Diablo. One can be plump and fairly healthy, and I never said anywhere that I was healthy now, but judging that the same person was healthier when it was overweight is I think a syndrome of modern times. People have forgotten what a lean body looks like and automatically find them unhealthy.

We live in a society where being big is normal and lean is considered unhealthy. Right on man. Last year I was 145 and maybe 10% body fat. All the comments about eat something. You look sick. Mostly co workers. Now that I'm almost 160 they're all happy. Of course I'm not lean. Or unhealthy. Just not satisfied. You look great!!

Not everyone is a body builder. Some are lean climbers! 😁 My husband has more body fat now, but he was super lean and "skinny" yet incredibly powerful. Wire-like muscles built by time working hard jobs create healthy bodies... Strong bodies aren't always made in a gym and sometimes don't look the same. Everyone is different... Supporting one another in pursuit of our goals is what we are here to do. Sometiems people learn in kindergarten that if you don't have something nice to say, you should say nothing at all. Some people never graduate to first grade.

Sure, the red is the daily calories eaten, the orange is a 7-day moving average (replace each day by the average of the last seven days to smooth things), with the scale on the left. The blue lines are the BMI (daily and 7dma) with values on the right.

(Hit my head) averages didn’t even hit my brainstorming. Makes total sense now. Obviously some mixed fasting here. During the lowest day what were your main go to foods. I’m on mobile. I bet on the computer version I could see more. Appreciate, thank you.
