So day 1 of backing down on the meds, only take one a day at night instead of 1 in am and 1 in pm...also, bought caffine free diet cokes...yes, I know I shouldn't be drinking diet cokes...but it's my treat...when I drink 3 waters, I get a diet coke. So anyway, I thought Id try caffine free to see if that will also help with my sleeping issues...we will see. Will keep you posted.

It's the phosphoric acid in the Diet Coke (all brown sodas have it). It depletes calcium from the body. To make up for it, your body's bones lose their calcium. Thus making the bones weaker. Try Diet Mountain Dew, if you need caffeine. If not, Diet 7-up.

Day 3 on caffine free diet coke and since I am not getting the caffine fix...I am getting rid of the diet cokes. It's just not the same. I am getting my caffine fix with my MIO energy waters...so I guess I will switch to diet sprite for my "soda" fix....

Oh and btw, went back to my regular amount of meds....backing down on them at the same time as backing down on caffine was NOT a good idea...and backing down on them while coming off of one of them all together was definitely NOT a good idea...so...Im just staying on the regular schedule of current meds, staying off the one, and quitting the diet cokes. I think that's good for now for a few months....

Have you tried lighting a lavender scented candle in your room before you go to bed. Also you might want to try getting a red light bulb for your bedside lamp. Leave it on for 30 minutes before you go to sleep. I use to have issues with sleeping and then I started the red light treatment and got rid of the television in my bedroom. Give it a try. Let me know if it works for you. Great job on your weight loss.

Try not drinking a diet pop at night and see if that helps, I have found if I dont have one (and yes like you I know Im not supposed to be having them but they are my caffine fix also) after 4 in afternoon I sleep better.

I stop drinking caffine by 6pm...only koolaid after 6pm. Havent tried lavender...I have a black light bulb in my bedside lamp...never used a red bulb...I guess I could try..not sure the purpose. Lavendar I have heard works. I have never had a tv in my room and never will. THanks for the support on the weight loss, Im trying to make my goal of 150 by Christmas.
