Hello!
I have been MIA for a while.
My two year old granddaughter Zara is here again after a few months of living in Texas.
Things are getting too crazy with COVID down there, so we though it safer for her to be here for the time being and I'm the primary caretaker for now, so almost no time for social media!!
Zara lived with us all of last year and I managed to gain 20+ pounds on top of the 30+ pounds I needed to lose despite trying to manage calories, restrict and eat "magical foods" that I hated or cut out entire categories of food that I loved. I never really upped my exercise, because for me, anything outside of yoga, hiking, yard work and the occasional aerobics class is just unsustainable.
I attributed my weight gain to stress, slowing metabolism, aging and decided that I was just going to be fat for the rest of my life.
Enter Intermittent Fasting and life is delicious, weight loss is steady and the energy I have is seemingly unlimited.
Last year I used to collapse into bed after a day of caring for Zara on top of the usual housework, yard work, bills, helping my folks etc.
Running on keytones for the majority of the day is spectacular. I'm up at 6 am and go strong until 11:00pm with only a 20 minute cat nap after my OMAD to help my digestion.
Truly the fountain of youth.
I'll keep posting my losses and checking in when I can. Zara is starting to stir from her afternoon nap so let me get back to it!!!
Below is a picture of my little chica!! Flamingoes are cool, but not half as cool as Zara!!
