Day 73 of diet and a I have just recorded total of 15Kg in weight lost. Another mini milestone passed.
As mentioned yesterday I have googled fitness and diets and tried to sift the good from the bad advice so as to turn my attention toward muscle tone as much as dieting. I'm trying to keep it simple and I think that my percent body fat should perhaps now be my key metric? I'm tentatively setting my next milestone to be under or equal to 25% body fat.
Hopefully I will find that this is reasonable number to set as a target?
After a good tidy up in my office my home exercises yesterday consisted of following two short Utube kettle bell sessions from bodycoach TV (with proper five minute warm ups before hand)
1. Two handed swing x10
2. Goblet squat x10
3. Single arm swing x10
4. Suitcase deadlift x10
Five reps
All completed twice - Once AM and once PM - Was only with a 6Kg Kettle bell though. Starting carefully.
After the first session I also ran up and down my stairs 10 times
I don't think I am ready for my other kettle bell which is 12kg quite yet.
My calves and hip flexors are just little sore today and I'm going to try to repeat this all again every day for a week. I have struggled to maintain interest using KB's in the past lets I hope I can do better this time.
Also for the rest of August I'm planning to reduce my average daily deficit from 1000 calories to about 720, feathering it in over a few days.
Also yesterday I dug out my technical scales and recorded my %fat as 27.5%. a little annoyed that I didn't think to do this at the start. Also recorded my chest at 41" and belly at 39"

Have a good one.
