Never saw those 😱 do they also have that beautiful colour inside? closer I had to those was purple sweet potatoes 😊

@tan.per yes they are purple inside and floury and light …they are an historic Scottish potato that I knew as a child. They are delicious boiled with a little butter or crème fraîche

@AndromedaCassie Galaxy I think are Peruvian and much more purple inside. These are old Scottish potatoes and when cooked they are white fleshed but retain the blue skin. Higher in flavonoids and antioxidants I suspect but I don’t know. They are delicious boiled but unlike Galaxy pretty crap roasted because they are dry and floury

paint, if I had a field or small garden I'd be for sure planting those. nothing better than having your own crop 😍 only things I plant are the "pot friendly" that I can do indoors with small pots 😁 

@tan you can grow potatoes in a bag for life or in pots. Not so easy indoors for a big crop I suppose. I’m really lucky to have a sizeable garden but making the vegetables manageable is always a bit of a tricky balance. Covid did us a big favour as although we never stopped working during lockdown the initial phase where everything stopped I threw myself into gardening as a distraction and have never stopped
