Days sure go quickly when Aria (age 6) is here! Today I did a lot of extra cooking. Two dozen muffins, 3 meals of chicken breast cooked ahead, a big beef stew and homemade meatballs made with a beef/pork/cheese/breadcrumb mixture. Aria helped some, but spent a good part of her day with Fiona, also 6, who lives across the street. Peter took her to the playground while I made the second batch of muffins.
Wednesdays she has dinner with us, then tomorrow her mother drops her off at dance camp; I pick her up for lunch, and she stays with us until about 4.
I need a catch-up day in the house. Way too hot and humid to work in the yard, so I will catch up with paperwork on Friday, clean the bathrooms, and maybe iron.

Sounds like a very fun busy day, Gail! So glad Aria has a friend to play with (and she gets to play with her grandparents too!)
It's Hot and smoky here (from wildfires), which triggers my asthma. So I am taking it easy indoors.

Fires seem to be especially bad this year, Alison. No fires around here, thank heavens, but very humid. I still have to spread all the mulch I bought a couple of days ago, but I'm waiting for a cooler day.
