I'm losing all motivation. I can't stop myself from overeating and it's enough to make me say screw it all. Just eat until I can't move anymore. My weigh ins are getting worse, even if I thought I was doing good. Just feeling out of control and useless.

I absolutely hear you. I did what you're saying and made it to 394 and could hardly move. Trust me, it's so not worth it. I got to a very dark, hardly living place. Let me talk you off the ledge. You can do this. If I was able to pull up moments before splattering on the pavement then you can too. Spend some time browsing the site, looking for folks that are winning. Analyze what they're doing and pick 2 or 3 things to emulate that will seriously shake up your routine. Give it another shot

gastropod- Thank you for your support ❤️ It's just so frustrating because I know what to do and how to do it. I've done it before and the only thing stopping me, IS ME! That's the worst kind of mental battle. Tomorrow is a new day. Tomorrow I can make at least one change. 🤞

Day by day, baby steps. You fall off today, start over tomorrow. Little by little cut down on sugar each day. You'll start seeing change!

Could be a gut yeast issue. Have you tried to go on a cleanser you can get at Whole Foods. I took one for two weeks after being on intravenous IV antibiotics for an infection. Start with the highest level they sell and go on a complete Candida diet. In two weeks the cravings should be pretty null. Then get back on track. Your mental attitudes showing defeat can be a result of how yeast can affect you, too. Your gut is your second brain. Hang in there.

Alaina- I do that all the time. I have been able to get it together enough when it happens to at least maintain instead of gain but it has been a back and forth cycle for a long time. I try to track my calories every day- even when they are hitting the 4-5000 range- so I can at least see what my average intake is and try to recoup some losses. I also enjoy getting like almost a high when I am planning how good I am going to do the next day and my big "restart". It is sickening really and I have slowly- ever so slowly- started to get away from that by just reminding myself I can eat whatever I want to IN MODERATION and there will be some left tomorrow. Doesn't always work but I totally get what you are saying and the joy that comes with eating- in that moment- is so...well...joyful. But you can do it. You can if you want to. Hang in there.

For me, planning and logging my food BEFORE I eat it is a must. It helps me feel in control. When I don't do it I eat mindlessly and well over my calories. Another thing I've been doing lately is drinking water. I know everyone always says to drink water but I always thought I wasn't thirsty so didn't want to and didn't do it. Turns out my body is just soaking it in and loving it. Only took me 6 years to try it 🙄

have you tried meal prepping? it’s been absolutely key to my success. when i’ve already made food it forces me to eat it instead of eating out

Starting weight.. 287. Today. 280. It takes a minute for me to see it. It took awhile to go from 4x to 2x and 26 to 22, but my daughter and my determination to not do the pity thing again (the scale is my worse enemy-it never moves in the right direction..lol) keeps me on track. I have arthritis in my back, knees and ankles. I walk with a cane... ready to drop this cane. I can barely walk but I try to move around the house. I used to wait on the motorized carts in stores, but now I try to walk with the shopping cart..Slow and steady does win the race. Keep going, just be more mindful of what's going on in your head and in your mouth. Stress does terrible things, too..

You’re not alone . So many of us get stuck and plateau, yo-yo , or gain weight back in our weight loss journey. If it was so easy we would all be thin. Give yourself a break. I am proud of you for all that you have already done . I know it’s corney, but it’s true that if you focus on the positive everyday it will be easier and faster achieving your goals . I log in and prep meals for the week. Yes, I might change them but the basics are there.

If you don’t mind can you add some intermittent fasting to it?if you don’t like breakfast ,by 12pm eat some big bowl and your dinner and last meal should be 5pm nothing more,it will be hard at first but trust me you will get better at it. If you like breakfast eat a little breakfast and get your huge lunch and a light dinner and again no food after 5pm,try this for a week or 2 and see if that help.🙏🏽 don’t give up honey ,to hell with scale,as long as you feel good about yourself,that’s all that matter and see that scale working for you too

You're not useless! It's hard work. I eat to soothe anxiety and sensory issues confuse me so I often eat when I'm thirsty too. Today I'm recovering from a massive binge. Doing good so far. I've been eating soup (congee) all day and making giant flavored water drinks (nuun or lemon water) to feel full. You got this!

I felt that way many times before this go round. In fact today has been a bit hard because I've not been eating enough protein and grazing on foods that are higher in saturated fat and low in fiber. Try eating more low fat protein. A good example is a Greek yogurt with 15g protein. Make sure at least 20% of your calories come from protein. It will take that edge off and help reduce those cravings!!!

Also don't cut your calories too low. Aim for something that isn't severe so you don't give up. And don't give up!!! 😊

Try not to weigh yourself every day. Do it weekly. It helps you mentally… Don’t give up. When you develop your new routine, you’ll start seeing results. It takes time but it’s worth it!
