I'm sorry you have so much heat too, wifey. Good for you for handling it better! Yay! Thank you, mermee and Kay! I'll be cutting off dozens and dozens soon, but some do still look sort of pretty and I'll wait. They have not wilted or aged in the normal way. They literally burned making the edges darker in color and crispy! Haha 

Thanks for enjoying my kitties with me! They are so chipper this morning chasing bugs that came in with the open doors last night. They were locked up in our room all night the last couple so we could leave the outside doors open trying to get any bit of cool air in. It is in the 70s this morning! It will heat up a good 20 more degrees, but it feels lovely now!  

LaughingChevre, Farkus sheds terribly all spring and summer, but I'm not sure it makes him look thinner! 😁 Mr Cat, our half Bengal, hardly seems to shed ever. His hair is sleek rather than fluffy and seems "hypoallergenic." My son and I have zero allergies from him! I promise they aren't chubby, but like KayBuckaroo's fluffy thighs bird, they look a bit "fluffy" lounging there! 😊  

Melissa, no, they don't look chubby! They are all nice and fluffy. Do you like Hosico Cat? Now that's a fat kitty.

He is adorable!!!!! Big fluffball with innocent emerald eyes. Can you believe he's a dad? Husband says Hosico is fat and needs to lose weight ASAP. 

This unusual heat wave must be extremely uncomfortable to those not used to the heat. Hang in there and be safe. May your blooms come back more abundantly...  

That's what happens to most plant life in Vegas in the summer..! Your fur babies are adorable!  

Thanks, John! It was kind of hard having it be more than 100 in the house, but it has started to cool a lot now. All is well! My roses will recover! Diana, I don't really mind heat, but I am thankful to not live in desert even if it it "dry heat." AC or no, I like my plants to be able to stay alive! Funny thing is that our lawn turns brown and dries up every summer. It looks dead, dead. Most people don't water their lawns here. After a week of nonstop rain in the fall, everything is green again. 😁 Dry grass is the signal to me that summer is really here and I'm so happy! But, I like to keep my flowers watered! ❤️ 

And thanks, Diana! The silly cats sort of look like they are holding hands. They often snuggle together to sleep in the winter, but this was as close as they wanted to be in the heat! 😁  

I hope you are able to stay cool! The weather is crazy! We are in New Mexico now, headed to Albuquerque. The last week we were in Colorado it rained everyday! It rained all day today and Albuquerque is supposed to have rain all week. It makes it hard to do things when it's raining all day...It was 60 degrees today. I'll probably be begging for cooler weather once we get home to the 117 degree weather! Lol

That heat was so crazy! Glad we're over it! Hope your cats weren't too cranky! I saw on someone else's post that your daughter fainted. Hope she is doing ok! Kinda funny to think we'd ever feel 90 degrees was a relief! But last 2 days here has been quite pleasant! 

I'm sorry you had such rain, Diana. That sucks on vacation. 😞 Bear, it was crazy! When we would go I to the single room not blazing... 85 degrees... It felt cold for a moment. I love hot days, but that was a bit extreme even for me! Yes, my girl is OK. I'm so glad she didn't fall down the stairs. She was just about to head down them when she passed out. Sadly her headaches are so bad lately, but she hasn't fainted again since then. It isn't uncommon for her, but I think the heat made it worse.
