Colon prep is going amazingly well. Amazing how much "stuff" was still in my digestive tract. Just finished up tonight's course of laxative. Have to get up at 2:30 to do it all again. IF I am able to go to sleep now, I will only get six hours of sleep. I'm afraid to take my Ambien because I don't want to take a chance that if I have to go during the night, I may not realize it soon enough if I am out of it. I had to drink 3 pounds (48 oz, 6 cups) of water tonight, and will have to do the same in the morning. Might be hard to get an accurate weight tomorrow, but I should be able to on Thursday, after I've had a "normal" night of sleep. Still, if I could miraculously be at goal tomorrow morning, I'll take it!

I'm making good progress on reading the Bible through for the 2nd time this year. Already almost done with Isaiah and 2 Thessalonians. (You read a passage from the Old Testament and New Testament each day.)

There was a really good passage today in Isaiah 55 (The Message Version). It said: "Why do you spend your money on junk food, your hard-earned cash on cotton candy. Eat only the best, fill yourself with only the finest." Great advice from the Word of God for after I end my fast!

My stomach seems to be settling down now. Maybe I WILL take that Ambien after all. I'll probably write again in the wee hours of the morning, since I have to be drinking water from 2:30-5:30am. Hospital check-in is at 8:30, and the actual colonoscopy is at 9:30. Whole thing should take about 3 hours from arrival to discharge.
