Melissa Imyou are absolutely stunning, you are beautiful. You will get into your wedding dress, otherwise have it altered because sometimes our goals need to be adjusted? Are you going to wear your wedding dress for your anniversary? My first anniversary is coming up and yours is the first I’ve ever heard of someone wearing their wedding dress on their anniversary but suddenly I’m excited, is this a thing? 

Thank you so much, Kay! You are very kind! One of my goals when joining FS was to fit into my wedding dress... Be in the shape I was at 20 years old and before having many kids. That was 2.5 years ago when I started here. I got into it about 8 months later and then for my anniversary last year for just a fun photoshoot. I didn't manage it this year because my weight it up a bit and a lot of things came together to make it really hard. I'd still like to zip it up again, so I'm still trying. It is alike a fluffy, white tape measure.  

If wearing your dress would make you happy, then it is a fun goal. You are doing so well, Kay, and I'm so glad you aren't wanting to fall back to that horrible time when the ED was in control. Since I am the mother of a struggler, I so what to affirm to you that your beauty is not linked to a size or number on the scale. I am so glad you know that now! ❤️ 

You do look awesome, Kaybuckaroo! I should think more about my comments instead of saying I would die if I was in a 12 again. That was an asshole thing to say and I'm proud of myself regardless and I'm proud of you for all you have done and the fact that you are doing it in a healthy way! You look fabulous always! Sorry if my comment was offensive! It does seem a bit dramatic and arrogant. 😘👍🏼❤️ 

I remember those pictures of you in your wedding dress. You look ed beautiful then and you look beautiful now!I was just thinking about it a few weeks ago cuz my anniversary is coming up. I always say I'm going to try mine on but we are usually out of town on our anniversary and then I forget when we get home.I am going to try it this year but I was like 120 lbs when I got married. Up a " "bit" now..lol. 💜 

Kay, I'm sorry for bringing up the whole discussion about sizing. It's part of my own warnings to myself not to get to attached to a size/comfortable and think I'm done just because the label says a certain number.  

Size is all relative. This photo shows Melissa in an actual pair of her own pants....that are now way too large for her...Yayy!!! I happily can now fit into size 8's...but I also wear 10's. And I bought a size 12 dress recently. At 5'4" my 145 lbs. looks differently than it may on someone taller. My joy is that I'm smaller than I was and hope to stay that way. We all need to support each other in our journeys. We can all be beautiful in our own unique ways....with all of our imperfections.  

Melissa you’re amazing. Your ‘struggler’ is SO lucky to have you for their mom. I can attest to the struggle of being down the ED rabbit hole 🕳 and my self worth was measured by a number.. that scale was so addicting. The difference between a person with ED vs a person w/o ED is the addiction, the obsession. I’m recovered, I don’t have any desire to do those things anymore. Princess you are the farthest thing from an asshole omg no, I wasn’t trying to say at all that your comments were rude or anything of the sort my dear, quite the opposite, people are more than allowed to voice their grievances with their own bodies here. I am not fragile, you don’t have to worry about saying the wrong thing around me!  

Chèvre no I’m seriously glad the discussion about numbers can occur candidly and I enjoyed the discourse. Please don’t feel like you have to walk on egg shells.  

Kay, if I liked and respected you before, I adore you now! I love your outlook and your determination and kindness. If I pm you, would you see it? I really would love to talk to ask for some advice... I need some hope. ED is a dreadful, damaging thief.  

Diana, I hope you have fun trying on your dress! Mine is 28 years old. Hahha! Thanks for your kind words. It really is strange to remember where we were mentally and physically way back then... So many things in life have changed. I am a totally different person and I'm not sorry!  

LaughingChevre, I agree with you that talking about sizes is good.... Seeing it as a somewhat inaccurate measure, but none the less something we deal with constantly. Getting into a different size... Be it in our closet or in a store... is a little bit of success to most of us!  

SherryeB, thank you for your addition! To compare where we are to where we were gives encouragement to keep fighting forward on a good path. We can only work toward the best we can be. You look so marvelous, and I always wonder how you don't gain five pounds a week with your amazing cooking skills!
