Heather and I started the Couch to 5k program today. I'm glad I'm doing it with a partner this time. I think it will help me stay motivated. We've been walking together for a few weeks now, and we decided to do a 5k in May, so we have to train hard. Since today was day one, we jogged for 60 seconds, and then power walked for 2 minutes. Okay. The first 60 seconds was super easy. We were like "We can do this!" "It will be easy!" Yeah right. I won't lie and say that I made it through the entire 20 minutes without laying on the grass that thankfully wasn't in someone's front yard...no, I won't say that at all...

But, I only had to lie in the grass once, and it was only for 30-45 seconds. The area we walked in today has a 1.5 mile trail around a lake, so we went around twice in about 30 minutes. After that, we stretched again, and decided to do one more lap as a powerwalk. I know I'm going to be sore tomorrow, but I'm glad I got a really good workout in.

Great job! I am doing a 5K in about 3 weeks. Did you see Biggest Loser tonight? They did a half marathon. It was very inspiring! (See my today's journal.)
