Day #1 of getting back on track. Damage done: regained all but two of the pounds I lost with my 12-day fast in March. I've been totally out of control - eating ALL day, anything I want, and back to drinking 2 liters of Diet Coke a day. Once again, I BEGIN. I prayed last night and asked God to deliver me from the sin of Gluttony and to remove the stronghold which the enemy has in my stomach. TODAY, I have the resolve to skip breakfast and just have a cup of hot tea. I don't know where it will go from there.

The "problem" with my 12-day fast was that it wasn't LONG enough to obtain the results I was looking for, either in losing the amount of weight that I need to lose, or (more importantly) breaking the devil's stronghold in my stomach.

Yes, I'm fasting again. I don't know how long it will last. I know that I have no strength in and of myself to overcome this addiction to food. I am entering this prayerfully, and informedly, and I don't expect everyone to understand or to agree with what I am doing. I am am NOT suggesting that anyone follow my example. This is a personal thing, between me and God - but I would appreciate any supportive comments and/or prayers on my behalf.

I just wanted to let y'all know what my intentions are, because I WILL be using the weight tracker again, and I will strive to get back to being supportive of other FS friends - new and old. Bon Voyage!

don't be so harsh on yourself. give a little love to yourself as you are doing with others. Remember diet cooldrinks and all these other stuff in boxes and bags have so much added sugar and preservatives it's no wonder your body gets confused and want to eat everything and all day long. these socalled foods do not satisfy you. try following an eating plan to get you back on track. I don't think fasting will solve it for long term. just my own experience I'm trying to give myself more love not to the point that I eat what I want but trying to eat what my body needs to be healthy I know it's a struggle but be kind to yourself ....hugs..xxx

all thing are possible to those that believe . stay focused on the goal. Sometimes have a picture of your goal helps one to stay focused on the prize. Also reward yourself with small achieve goals along the journey.

Fasting pro here! Fasting is probably not the best way to start your journey if you have a true food addiction, you're better off starting slow and eliminating certain toxic foods. If you cut out soda altogether you'll lose real fast! xoxo

WOW, somehow I missed ALL of these comments from my May 3rd post! Thank you to everyone for all your kind and concerned posts. I appreciate every one of them. Since there are so many of them, it would be a little overwhelming for me to attempt to respond to each one of them - but know that you are all appreciated and I have read every one and considered every piece of advice.
