I've been happy the last two mornings with 168+ lbs. Today's activity was going through my MIL's dishes. We had given alot away when she passed away, but packed up what was left and stored them until now. Gib, you would have been proud of me, I only kept a few items and they fit on my shelves in the garage. 😊 I'd say there's at least 10 bins of dishes we're giving away. It sure feels good to clear things out. ♡

Thank you friends.❤ We're heading to Las Cruces with the donated bins. We give to St. Vincent de Paul . They have an excellent voucher program for those in need and accept everything we donate. We are planning a big trip when we get back from California, where will will be donating furniture. Wifey, this load is obviously packed already, but I will try to get pics of the dishes we're giving to family and friends. 😊

Huge kudos to you! I am a pack rat and a hanger-on to stuff for sentimental reasons. I have been slowly cleaning out for five years and still at it. It is a lot of on fits and starts. Your program seems to be going well.

When my MIL died, my husband and his brother packed up the house, put everything in storage and sold the house.
They have never been back to the storage and I hate the fee we are paying! ☹️
We are all too busy to take time out to go there and go through the stuff and empty the storage. I sure hope to this year. She had many treasures.🌼
You’re so Great Becky!! I hope to donate a lot, but it is with his brother’s consent, along with his wife’s, I just see problems.🙃

Thank you Erq, Jen and Shrew. It is bittersweet, but passing along my MIL's dishes to her grandchildren and others makes it easier. I have kept a few treasured items (actually many) and I will always have the memories. ❤

Erq, initially we were able to give each grandchild cast iron and kerosene lamps. Some grandchildren were able to take more, but there's still plenty to make another round. We can't keep storing her things for an indefinite amount of time, don't want to, so if nobody wants it, items are going to donation center to bless others. I'm in the process of noy only thinning down my MIL's things, but also my mother's, mine/ours and FIL's. ❤
