Having an orange bell pepper snack! It's so tasty and has the crunch I like to have in the morning from my chips. No chips for me! My mom got an E-book on curing arthritis and I read it last night. It was so interesting I couldn't put it down! One of the more interesting things in it is that a Vitamin D deficiency can promote inflammation. I've felt swelled up and joints have been stiff and achy all winter, which I attributed to the cold, but could really be a Vitamin D deficiency! So I am going to try the regimen suggested taking a supplement to see if I can tell a difference with increased Vitamin D.

I also did a DVD last night. Felt so good when I got done and I feel good today knowing I did it. I'm heading in the right direction :)

Have a good one (yay it's almost Friday!)

My Vitamin D is always low and I have joint pain too. I've been on prescription doses of Vitamin D before and unfortunately for me they don't help all that much. But I'd try it some over the counter and talk to the doc about it the next time you're in, they can run a simple blood test to see if you're deficient and may prescribe you a larger dose to get you started. Also, get out in the sunshine and soak up some natural vitamin D. Great job getting the workout in and finding a good alternative to the chips!

For what it's worth, vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin. So, when I was eating low fat, I was very deficient in Vitamin D and was on a prescription (which really didn't help much on it's own). My levels are normal now. I'm not suggesting you change your diet, just research what might help in absorbing the vitamin D when you take it. Salmon & Tuna are a couple of the few foods that contain Vitamin D naturally. All the best to you.
