Goodmorning friends and buddies,

Thank you all soooo much for your compliments yesterday. I was actually blushing behind my keyboard. I sooo hoped to see 86.something on my scale today, but it was not meant to be... tomorrow tomroow, i love you, tomorrow, you're only a day away.

i was so pumped up yesterday that legday was a blast yesterday, i highend almost all exercises in weight or reps, and still no spagghetti-legs... btw, thanks for correcting me msmole calls them celery-legs...

Today armsDAY, so: pushups, halfpushups, buckets out, rowing, fingergrabs, overheadpulls, overhead pushes, elbow flex, elbow extends, wristtwists and situps concentrated on the higher abs. and walking/skiing-machine for warmup and cooldown...

that should do the trick. then there is zumba at 10:15, last week it felt good to have my hips realined by the movements :) :)

thought for the day:
-John Denver: (*little adjusted*)
and if i had a day, that i could give you, i'd give to you a day just like mine was yesterday

Just reading your activity makes me feel tired, no not really it makes me feel very tired or in English "Knackered". There is another phrase which could be used but I will keep it civil as you are such a "lady". I just wish I had half your energy Maud my wife would be delighted....lol

good for you Puhpine! I'm having such a hard time starting my exercise regimen again. Had surgery last June, and wasn't supposed to work out at all for 4 months; now, 10 mos later, I'm still milking it. I do have spaghetti-like legs, NO muscles at all anywhere, it's not attractive at all...Be careful what you wish for.

Hey, a .7 lb loss is FANTASTIC... And glad you had a great day, y'day, Maud. You deserve it. You've been working so hard, and you're seeing some great results. Best wishes, and keep smiling!!! :D

I absolutely detest exercise. I was one of those kids that actually felt nauseous at PE time (funny...never felt that way at lunchtime)! But alas, it is a necessary evil and so I plunge ahead every day. I get in 2-mile aerobic walk 5-6 days a week and I have been faithful to it. Starting up a strengthening/toning regimen too. I've always been a 'solid' girl without a lot of jiggle and I just want that to hold as I lose weight -- here I go on the loose skin bit again. ANyway, I see small victories on the body so far, so I can't complain. Another upside, with daily exercise I no longer have aching knees and shooting pains in my right foot. Perhaps the movement and little bit of weightloss is the reason!?!?

LuC2. I was that way too. I was a skinny kid. (It didnt' take.) I hated PE though I was good at anything I liked. I hated to run but one day got so angry at 'the jock' (you know who I'm talking about) that I cut loose and beat him in the mile by about five seconds. I said I hated it. I didn't say I couldn't do it. Bicycle and endless time swimming had me in awesome shape. (Dang! Maybe I should buy a wet suit for up her. I just thought of that.) When I had lost about the first 25 or 30 pounds I decided I wanted to start lifting. I had a few things so I started. It was torture. Now I hit the end of two work out days and I think how much I'm ready for the rest day. All my motivation is gone at that point. Well, about half way through my rest day I start to get jittery. My body wants it now. My wife says 'go for a walk or something'. I don't. I save up that energy for the next day, which is... today! Pecs, shoulders, and biceps here I come!!! Woohoo!!!

"I didn't say I couldn't do it..." Too funny, NorthernMu! I was never wispy thin but never wanted to be labeled the big girl who got picked last for everything. So, I made a lot of friends...a LOT. Part of that friendship was, "You will pick me in your first five as Team Captain, and I will work hard." (LOL) We used to do these fitness challenges in PE too. H-A-T-E-D those days! But I was determined not to have slow times. Whomever I was pitted against usually didn't think I'd do much, but when the shot would go off, "BANG!" I was running like the hounds of hell were racing behind me! I usually won because the other person was so freaking shocked to see my little round legs hauling tail down the lane (and hearing LOTS of friends whooping and yelling on the sideline -- Yeah, it was ridiculously funny). Ahh, memories...It feels good to be working out because I want to see the end-result, though. Much, much different than being forced as a kid.

I detest exercise too, no matter what it is, and where I do it.... If anybody else tells me that I "should find something I like doing", I'm going to scream. If it involves exertion of any kind, I don't like doing it...the only reason why I'm contemplating to start up again (I'm a MASTER procrastinator when it comes to regular exercise) is for the end result of looking better. My health is fine, so I don't need to do it especially for that.I was born too early....I bet you they'll invent something where you just sit in a special cabin/chair/container for 20 mins and it will have the results of having worked out for at least 2 weeks... I dream about stuff like that. The older I get, watching all these runners et al, the more ridiculous I find it to have to go through life like that..
